Lip Enhancement and Augmentation
As we age, our lips become progressively thinner. Over time the corners of the mouth begin to droop, the v-shaped area of the upper lip known as the Cupids Bow begins to flatten, and our lips lose their youthful fullness. Vertical lip lines can also begin to appear, causing your lipstick to bleed.
Lip enhancement or augmentation can be a very effective anti-ageing treatment to enhance the natural shape of the lip without creating the dreaded "ducky" look. By treating the border of the lip (vermillion border) we can enhance the contour and definition. Lip volume can also be enhanced in the lip body (vermillion).
A Hyaloronic Acid (HA) is used in this area and results are not permanent. Results vary but many treatments last up to 12 months. Bruising can occur in this area as the lips are very vascular (lots of blood vessels, this is why they are pink!)
